Artist-Run
FIXation is a vibrant hub on Russell’s York Street where creativity, community, and sustainability intertwine. This inspirational, volunteer-run workshop and retail outlet is dedicated to giving textiles a new lease on life. We prevent fabric from ending up in landfill by transforming unwanted material and clothing into beautiful, useful garments, accessories, and homewares. All profits are donated to community projects that increase local community resilience including the foodbank, Russell Marine Radio, Russell School and many other worthy causes.
More Than Just a Shop
Visitors can discover unique items crafted with skill and imagination by dedicated local volunteers. Every piece tells a story of renewal, rescued and often redesigned from ‘nothing of value’ into something truly special. Beyond selling these wonderful creations and promoting the value of slow fashion, we empower our community by sharing our sewing, mending and crafting skills through workshops and gatherings.
Come and visit us on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
