Brenda Moir

I have been painting for the last 16 years in Kerikeri, Bay of Island .

I was trained in oils and watercolour paints and have attended art school and many art classes to learn techniques and delivery of art work.

My work is primarily realism -working with acrylics.. I paint on so many varied mediums, mostly derived from nature, which can include driftwood, palm fronds, any old pieces of wood I am presented with.

When I get a piece of boat, I usually paint a boat on it too!

Sea scapes and landscapes I make in large and combined pieces.

I have exhibited my work in most galleries in the Bay of Islands, and also have had solo exhibitions. I did an artist residence in the church in Rawene for a solo exhibition there.

I have completed commissions for customers and enjoy that work to complete a piece specifically for that person.
