I am a mixed media artist working from my studio nestled in a small bay on the Kaipara Harbour, Northland, New Zealand.
My creative process is driven by an inquisitive passion for mark-making and material exploration. I use a spontaneous layering technique, allowing the narrative of each piece to reveal itself organically over time. By combining different mediums, colors, and marks, I build the artwork gradually until it reaches a sense of completion. Often, I feel a spiritual connection to my work, drawing inspiration from intuition rather than a fixed plan. I invite viewers to explore each piece and discover their own personal connections within the forms and textures.
While I am primarily self-taught, I have enriched my practice through local and online studies, as well as by engaging with a creative community.
