Helen Beech is a visual artist based in Te Tai Tokerau Northland, New Zealand. Working primarily in acrylic painting and print making, she creates bold, colourful works inspired by the distinctive flora, fauna and landscapes of Aotearoa.
With more than 20 years as a practicing artist, Helen’s work explores her connection to the natural environment through expressive colour, pattern and mark-making. Her practice spans original paintings, relief prints, textiles and art scarves, allowing her imagery to move between fine art and functional design.
Helen lives and works in the Bay of Islands, where the coastal landscape, native plants and birdlife provide an ongoing source of inspiration.
