I paint in oils on canvas. Landscape, Portraits, Still Life and any subject as it takes my interest. Painting is a great pastime offering more learning than almost any Artist can manage even in a lifetime. The Artist works in developing their eye, for seeing what is visible beyond a usual quick look, and develops the physical co-ordination and skill needed to paint what they see. Working with the knowledge of light in it's myriad ways of showing us the world, and through familiarity with the materials, the hand and eye work to create on the two dimensional surface the successful Painting. The creation of the Artist is forever a work in progress.
