Toi Tu Art Exhibition - Kororareka Marae

Toi Tu is a celebration of creativity, culture, and connection. Toi Tū can be interpreted as “art that endures” or “the standing presence of art.” In te reo Māori, toi refers to art, knowledge, or origin, while tū means to stand, remain, or endure. The gallery Toi Tū, situated in Haratu Marae, Kororareka, honours both the resilience of artistic expression and the grounding presence of this space as a place to reflect, connect, and celebrate the stories of this land and its people—both past and present.
